And I encouraged and educated others to grow their own food, or shop local and organic. And things like Farmer’s Market Tours happened.
And following in the foot steps of my Baba (who left behind a pretty amazing legacy) I helped Steward his Organic School Garden Project Non-Profit in all the schools in our town where I grew up, and I created and went around teaching an Eat A Rainbow 🌈 a Day Program for children of inner city, low income families. I also supported homeless children.
And well that all crumbled, as empires tend to do... And I came back to the farm. To the earth beneath my feet. To moving slowly. To simple and sweet. To working with a San Diego Non-profit Women’s Empowerment Project (Shakti Rising) - Gardening. Cooking. Nutrition. Healthy Habits. Foundations of healthy living. To planting new seeds.
Came back to my roots, to my family.
